Matías Cifuentes

Matías Cifuentes holds a BA in Social Sciences and is an Anthropologist from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He works as a research assistant on studies dealing with content creators and digital work in Latin America. In 2023, he participated as an organiser of the III Latin American Encounter on Digital Anthropology, and since 2024 he has been part of projects such as “Exploring discourses on AI in the creative industries in Chile,” directed by Social Media Culture Lab and IRN-South Stream (CNRS), and the Fulbright project “Border Wars: Platform Nationalism in the Digital Periphery,” directed by David Craig (USC-Annenberg).
